Macbeth is a typographic interpretation of Shakespeare’s tragedy, created during a complex typography course led by Gal Schneor.

The project explores the tension between classical literature and contemporary visual language through expressive layouts, experimental compositions and risograph printing. Instead of treating the text as something distant and untouchable, the project approaches Macbeth through a more personal, raw and emotionally driven perspective.

Process & References
The visual direction behind Macbeth was shaped by punk aesthetics, street posters, underground zines and the tension between rigid typography and emotional expression.

A central part of the project was breaking away from the heaviness often associated with Shakespeare and allowing the text to become more physical, loud and immediate.

Through risograph printing, fluorescent colors, layered imagery and expressive compositions, the project transformed the play into something more personal and contemporary while still maintaining strong typographic structure and editorial precision.
